About Us

Preschool Partners is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization formed in 2004.

Our Mission is to assist parents in finding their child’s best placement for preschool education and care… and to assist early care and education providers in building programs of the highest quality.

The founders, board of directors, volunteers and staff are all long-time residents of the Virginia Peninsula. We are parents, grandparents, business people, and educators working together to help more children have opportunities to build a strong foundation for learning.

Preschool Partners is a collaborative member of Smart Beginnings Virginia Peninsula. We support and promote the work of the statewide Smart Beginnings initiative and the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation.

The services and initiatives of Preschool Partners are supported by numerous public and private grants, foundations, and donors.  Maintaining the resource and referral data base of child care providers, and work under the Virginia Star Quality Initiative is funded in part by the Virginia Department of Social Services .
